About Our Events
York County Economic Alliance events are a great way to get connected and find out what’s happening in York County. From informational programs and casual networking to the Annual Dinner and golf outing, Alliance events are your community connection.
Annual Dinner – The Annual Dinner highlights accomplishments for the past year and the future goals for the organization. The Small Business of the Year, ALLIANCEfuel and ATHENA Awards are presented. The evening includes a networking reception, dinner and keynote speaker or entertainment.
International Business & Workforce Development Expo – Held in the spring, the Expo showcases business, technology, products and services, nonprofits, local government and community initiatives in the South Central PA region. New for 2013, international business activities through a partnership with the World Trade Center Harrisburg and workforce development programming.
Business After Hours – This social and networking event is an opportunity for members to meet other business people and potential customers. Member business hosts have the opportunity to showcase their company to attendees.
DrawDown & Silent Auction – This fun, casual event features a DrawDown – a reverse raffle where numbers are “drawn down” until the last number remaining wins a Harley-Davidson motorcycle or $5,000 cash. The evening also includes a silent auction where attendees may bid on unique valuable items donated by Economic Alliance members.
Golf Outing – The annual Golf Outing is one of the largest in York County and a great way to swing into summer. The event includes lunch and dinner buffets, golf, special contests, awards and prize raffles.
Small Business Seminar Series – Breakfast Plus & Lunch Plus – The Small Business Seminar Series provides resources to educate small business owners through informative seminars covering issues that affect your business. This monthly series alternates between breakfast and lunch. Seminar presenters come from within the Economic Alliance membership and community, and are experts in their field.
York SCORE/Economic Alliance Business Roundtables – Each roundtable is a peer group discussion facilitated by a SCORE expert to help grow business networks, discuss topics that matter to small businesses (1-100 employees), get feedback and advice, learn from the success of others, and connect with experts and entrepreneurs. Roundtables are held for the Technology and Business/Professional Services industries.
Economics Club – Monthly breakfasts provide insightful updates and economic information important to business in York County. The Economics Club also hosts the annual Spirit of York County Awards breakfast and Economic Club Members-only Social, Holiday Open House and Economic Development Forum.
Member Orientation – Held approximately every six weeks, Member Orientation is a quick, but comprehensive, look at the York County Economic Alliance and benefits of membership, and networking opportunity. New members and new employees of members are encouraged to attend.
