2015 ATHENA, Ignite and Small Business of the Year Award Winners

Alliance Academy

Alliance Academy is an educational program that features a timely topic geared towards improving efficiencies and sustainability for Economic Alliance member businesses. Three Alliance Academy programs will be held in 2015 focusing on topics relevant to member needs.

Annual Dinner

The Annual Dinner highlights YCEA’s accomplishments and lays the groundwork for the coming year. Following a reception, the event features dinner, entertainment and awards ceremony honoring the recipients of the Small Business of the Year, Ignite Young Professional. White Rose Appreciation and ATHENA awards.

Business Achievement Award

The Business Achievement Award Dinner celebrates the career of an influential business individual who has made a lasting impact on the overall health of the community and economy.

Directors’ DrawDown & Silent Auction

Mix and mingle with over 300 top local business leaders and guests at the Directors’ DrawDown & Silent Auction.  This fun and exciting event features a buffet, a silent auction featuring items donated by Economic Alliance members and the opportunity to vie for the evening’s top prize.

Golf Outing

Swing into summer at the York County Economic Alliance Golf Outing.  The Outing begins with a lunch buffet followed by networking and golf.  The day ends with dinner, awards and prizes. The Golf Outing takes place at Briarwood Golf Course.

Holiday Open House

The Holiday Open House features networking in a relaxed atmosphere. Attendees include members of York County’s legislative delegation, board members of the York County Economic Alliance and its related entities, municipal officials, superintendents and Economic Alliance members.

Spirit of York County Awards

The Spirit of York County Awards Breakfast honors York County volunteers, elected and appointed officials and community organizations and individuals for their service to the York County community.

Business After Hours

Business After Hours

Business After Hours are social and networking opportunities for Economic Alliance members to meet other business people and potential customers.  Business After Hours take place from 5-7 p.m. at a member’s place of business where they can showcase their company to attendees.  Beverages and hors d’oeuvres are served and tours are encouraged.

Economics Club Breakfast Series

The Economics Club Breakfast Series are incisive monthly breakfasts featuring economic and business updates important to York County.

Member Orientation

Member Orientations provide attendees with a comprehensive overview of York County Economic Alliance events, programs and committees, ways to reap the most benefit from Alliance membership and an opportunity to network with business owners and executives in an intimate and informal small group setting. Member Orientations are ideal for new members, those new to the member organization and those who are interested in getting reconnected with the York County Economic Alliance.

Workforce Development Summit

Employers are invited to the Workforce Development Summit to hear about workforce development initiatives offered at the local and state levels.  Attendees will also have the opportunity to learn about the encouraging advancements in the partnerships between the education and employer communities.

The Business Advocacy Roundtables are designed to provide members of the York County Economic Alliance with the opportunity to get first-hand information from elected officials and county leaders.

Legislative Luncheon

At the Legislative Luncheon, business people and legislators from Washington, Harrisburg and York discuss the importance of fostering a healthy business climate. The luncheon draws York’s political elite and socially-conscious residents.

Due to the popularity of this event, YCEA is hosting two legislative lunches in 2016— one in the fall and one in the spring — each of them featuring half of the PA House and PA Senate legislators.

State of the Community

The State of the Community Address brings York County elected officials and community leaders together with the business community. Participants discuss pivotal issues affecting the local economy and community.
