THANK YOU to our 2016 Host Manufacturers:
Attract Your Next Generation Of Workers
Local manufacturers will each host Juniors and Seniors from one high school, for a half day of plant tours and sessions to showcase modern technology and the cool jobs available in manufacturing. This event gives manufacturers a chance to speak directly to the next generation workforce, and helps students to see that manufacturing career options are innovative and meaningful, and emphasizes the need for science, technology, engineering and math skills in today’s workplace.
The event is a part of our Careers in 2 Years (CI2Y) initiative to increase awareness by students and their parents, of the many rewarding careers that require two years or less of post-secondary training. Contact Kim Lentz at email@example.com to find out how you can become a school host site for York County’s Manufacturing Days, October 3-7.
