YCEA Announces SCORE Partnership

11.29.17

The York County Economic Alliance is proud to announce a new partnership with Susquehanna SCORE to strengthen small businesses in York County and beyond.

“SCORE is a vital tool for small businesses and entrepreneurship,” said Kevin Schreiber, President and CEO of YCEA. “While SCORE was always part of our toolbelt of assistance for York County businesses, this newly established partnership will elevate the support YCEA is able to provide, as well as the reach of SCORE to York County and the Susquehanna region.”

Susquehanna SCORE has provided free and confidential business mentoring since 1979, tailored to meet the needs of emerging and growing businesses and small business owners’ personal objectives. Focused on Dauphin, Cumberland, Perry, York and Adams counties, SCORE holds more than 100 mentoring sessions each month.  More than half of these mentees return to SCORE multiple times as their businesses launch and they reach new milestones of growth and development.

“Partnering with economic growth engines such as the YCEA is one of the central tenants of our mission to help small businesses and organizations in both York County and the rest of our chapter’s geographic footprint,” said James Sanders, current chair of the Susquehanna Score Chapter. “We look forward to this enhanced partnership and believe it will be beneficial to the community.”
