PEDYC

PEDYC is a 501(c)3 that serves to stimulate interest in and to assist in the promotion of plans that promote the industrial and economic development of York County.

York County Chamber of Commerce

The Chamber of Commerce was established in 1898 to promote business growth.

YCEDC

YCEDC was created in 1957 to promote economic development in York County.

Authorities

Board members for the following Authorities are appointed by the County Commissioners.
General Authority of South Central Pennsylvania (GASP)

GASP serve as municipal financing authorities for economic development and non-profit projects in South Central Pennsylvania. GASP is authorized to issue bonds for eligible tax-exempt and taxable projects.

York County Industrial Development Authority (YCIDA)

The YCIDA invests in local industrial parks and projects throughout York County that facilitate job creation. Projects of note include creation of three industrial parks, The Yorktowne Hotel, development and ownership of PeoplesBank Park, redevelopment and creation of Marketview Arts and redevelopment of the Harley-Davidson West Campus.

Redevelopment Authority of the County of York (RACY)

RACY works to redevelop blighted industrial sites and to forge innovative strategies for redevelopment projects throughout York County. Projects include Keystone Weaving Mills and Hanover Shoe.

York County Land Bank Authority (YCLBA)

The York County Land Bank Authority was created through a partnership of the Redevelopment Authority of the County of York, the Redevelopment Authority of the City of York, and the York County Economic Alliance. While this is a tool for the entire County, it is particularly significant for smaller municipalities that lack the funding or staff support to deal with problem properties.
