The Shippensburg University SBDC provides consulting services and educational programs to entrepreneurs looking to start or grow a small business in Adams, Cumberland, Franklin, and York counties. From helping aspiring entrepreneurs turn ideas into businesses, to helping small firms expand, to providing the information every business person needs to make critical decisions, the Shippensburg SBDC is the resource entrepreneurs in all industry sectors can turn to for help - help that can make the difference between success and failure.

Formed in 1979, the York Pennsylvania Chapter of SCORE is part of a national nonprofit association dedicated to entrepreneur education and the formation, growth and success of the nation's small business. York SCORE volunteers serve as "Counselors to America's Small Business" by providing free and confidential business counseling tailored to meet the needs of small businesses. Through its partnership with the Shippensburg University Small Business Development Center and York College J.D. Brown Center for Entrepreneurship, SCORE offers a number of low cost workshops for both new and existing entrepreneurs. SCORE is a resource partner with the U.S. Small Business Administration.
